POS Design, Interactive Design, Screen Design & Photoshop Composing

For the Swiss parquet manufacturer Bauwerk, I developed a comprehensive design concept that includes both digital and physical components. The goal was to provide customers on the Bauwerk homepage with the ability to interactively display wooden floors in various rooms.

Interactive Online Configurator
During the proposal phase, the idea emerged to develop not only an online configurator but also a physical solution. The online configurator allows users to virtually view different wooden floors in various room settings, helping them make informed purchasing decisions. This interactive solution was realized with modern screen design and advanced Photoshop composing to create a user-friendly and visually appealing platform.

Physical Configurator for Showrooms and Exhibitions
In addition to the online configurator, we proposed developing a physical configurator, ideal for use in Bauwerk showrooms and flooring exhibitions. This innovative approach allowed customers to experience different flooring options in a real environment, providing a better sense of the materials and their impact on the space.

Success at BAU 2011 in Munich
The first prototype of the physical configurator was presented at BAU 2011 in Munich and garnered great interest. This presentation was a significant success, leading to the Bauwerk parquet configurator being sold over 100 times worldwide. The combination of digital and physical interactivity proved to be an effective sales tool, enhancing customer engagement and increasing sales.

Value for Bauwerk and Customers
By developing these configurators, Bauwerk was able to offer its customers a unique and immersive shopping experience. The interactive tools not only made selecting the right parquet easier but also highlighted the quality and variety of Bauwerk products. This led to increased customer satisfaction and strengthened Bauwerk’s position as an innovative market leader in the parquet industry.
